7 Day Weight Loss Soup Diet

If you are facing severe calorie deficit then you can have it with a healthy bran bread sandwich to avoid weakness. I recommend to prepare this soup on low heat and let it simmer for about 4 hours than to cook at high. Low cooking has its own health benefits, I’ll write some other day. Now have a look around the ingredients and procedure of this zero point cabbage soup.

  • Chicken broth/vegetable broth/beef broth: 3 cups
  • Beef Broth would be best
  • Garlic cloves: 2, minced.
  • Tomato paste: 1 tbsp.
  • Cabbage: 2 cups, chopped
  • Yellow onion: ½ (half) chopped
  • Carrot: ½ cup and chopped
  • Green beans: ½ cup
  • Yellow or green zucchini: ½ cup, chopped
  • Basil leaves: ½ tsp.
  • Oregano: ½ tsp.
  • Salt n pepper to taste

The Cabbage Soup Diet Plan

Take a non-stick pan and spray with non-sticky cooking oil. Heat for 10 seconds then sauté garlic for 10 seconds, add onions and carrots and sauté the all together for about 5 minutes or until tender.

Once the vegetables are tender, add broth and simmer once before you add cabbage, tomato paste, oregano, basil, and salt n pepper.

Simmer this mixture for 10-15 minutes or until all the vegetables are tender and soft, now add zucchini and simmer for another 10 minutes.

Now you are good to go and eat.

This soup can be made with several variations like skipping beans, or adding green onions instead of yellow, using some vinegar for the taste. Just make sure you don’t add anything unhealthy or high in calorie like cream or something.

Enjoy your lunch and dinner meal with this low calorie-high nutrient soup.
